The first round of the NFL draft has come and gone, and Washington Huskies wide receiver Denzel Boston is still waiting to be picked.
Boston was picked at No. 27 to the San Francisco 49ers in Daniel Jeremiah's mock draft on NFL Network and No. 29 to the Kansas City Chiefs in Dane Brugler's mock draft on The Athletic leading up to the draft. But San Francisco trading out of the first round, Kansas City taking Clemson defensive tackle Peter Woods, and the Buffalo Bills - another team connected to Boston - trading down three times as well left Boston without an NFL home heading into Friday.
The first two wide receivers came off the board earlier than expected, with Ohio State's Carnell Tate going No. 4 overall to the Tennessee Titans and Jordyn Tyson of Arizona State going to the New Orleans Saints at No. 8 overall. Some national pundits had a run on receivers starting in that scenario, but the third wide receiver did not come off the board until No. 20, when the Philadelphia Eagles traded up for USC's Makai Lemon.

Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion went to the Cleveland Browns at No. 24, and the New York Jets traded back into the first round to select Indiana's Omar Cooper Jr. at No. 30 to wrap up the receiver picks on Thursday night.
Boston is the third-best player available on the consensus board, behind cornerbacks Jermod McCoy (Tennessee) and Avieon Terrell (Clemson), who both have injury concerns. McCoy did not play in 2025 due to a torn ACL, while Terrell was limited in predraft testing by a hamstring injury.
The Seattle Seahawks also surprised some by picking with the No. 32 overall selection, taking running back Jadarian Price out of Notre Dame. That likely ends any hope of Washington running back Jonah Coleman ending up with the local NFL club.
Boston will likely come off the board early on Friday, with San Francisco (33), Buffalo (35), Las Vegas (36), the New York Giants (37), and Kansas City (40) all picking in the first eight selections of the second round.
