Four-star quarterback Blake Roskopf believes that Washington's offense fit him best from his 30 offers.

When four-star quarterback Blake Roskopf walked onto the Washington campus for Junior Day, he didn't just see a football program—he saw his future. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound standout from Desert Edge High School in Arizona had 30 offers to choose from, but in the end, the Huskies' offense felt like home.

"It just fit for me," Roskopf told Arizonavarsity.com's Adam Beadle. "The offense they run, I feel, fits me and (quarterback coach) JP (Losman)'s done a lot of recruiting, I'm excited, it's going to be fun."

Ranked as the No. 152 overall prospect and the No. 12 quarterback in the nation, Roskopf picked Washington over a final group that included Mississippi State, North Carolina, and UCLA. His commitment marks a major win for a Huskies program looking to build its future around a strong-armed, pro-style passer.

Roskopf's decision was made even sweeter by the presence of a familiar face. His high school teammate, four-star wide receiver Zerek Sidney, committed to Washington in late January. The duo has been building chemistry for years, and Roskopf says that connection played a key role in his choice.

"He was a big part of the decision," Roskopf added. "It was just kind of him urging me to go, and all the work we've put in together is going to carry on to the next level, so I'm excited."

Even with Sidney sidelined by injuries for much of his junior season, Roskopf put up eye-popping numbers. He completed over 66 percent of his passes for 2,815 yards and 37 touchdowns against just 8 interceptions, leading Desert Edge to the quarterfinals of Arizona's 5A playoffs. His arm talent was on full display, catching the attention of top programs across the country.

"Arm talent really pops off the screen, big arm and the ball jumps out of his hand," former 247Sports analyst Greg Biggins wrote in his evaluation. "Shows off easy velocity, can get the ball down the field with little wasted motion... Pure pocket guy, but shows the ability to escape pressure and is comfortable throwing outside the pocket."

Roskopf is set to take his official visit to UW on May 29, and fans are already buzzing about what he can bring to Montlake. For a quarterback who thrives in a system that lets him push the ball downfield, Washington's offense looks like the perfect fit.
