The Washington running back was drafted with the 108th overall selection of the NFL Draft on Saturday by the Denver Broncos.

Coleman broke out with 1,053 rushing yards and an additional 177 receiving yards as a junior in 2024, his first season on Montlake after following head coach Jedd Fisch from Arizona. A knee injury hampered his impact in 2025, but he still finished with 758 yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground while averaging 4.9 yards per carry.

A finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, also known as the Academic Heisman, Coleman was an honorable mention All-Big Ten in both seasons at Washington. Occasionally mentioned as the second-best running back in the class, the former Husky ended up as the fourth running back off the board behind Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price of Notre Dame and Kaelon Black of Indiana. Love went No. 3 to Arizona, Price No. 32 to Seattle, and Black No. 90 to San Francisco.

The Athletic's Dane Brugler had this to say about Coleman in his draft guide, The Beast: "Coleman isn’t overly explosive, and his lack of juice is a concern, but he is an instinctive, competitive ball carrier who can absorb and bounce off tacklers. He is an inside runner with value on passing downs, both as a receiver and blocker."

Coleman will join a running back room that includes veteran JK Dobbins and 2024 second-round pick RJ Harvey.
