The Washington Huskies and Oregon Ducks are in a heated battle for one of the top offensive linemen on the West Coast.

The race for one of the West Coast's top offensive line talents is heating up, and it's a classic Pacific Northwest showdown. The Washington Huskies and Oregon Ducks are going head-to-head for four-star recruit Gecova Doyal, a 6-foot-3, 270-pound interior lineman from Puyallup High School.

Ranked as the No. 351 overall prospect and No. 16 interior offensive lineman in the 2027 class, Doyal has been a familiar face around Washington's campus. He's made multiple unofficial visits to Montlake, soaking in spring and fall practices, and even attended the Huskies' recent Dawgs After Dark spring game. But the Ducks aren't backing down—Oregon's coaching staff recently conducted an in-home visit, signaling their intent to flip the state's No. 5-ranked player.

With 19 offers on the table, Doyal has narrowed his focus to three official visits: UCLA on May 15, Oregon on June 5, and Washington on June 19. According to reports, the Huskies and Ducks are currently "co-leaders" in his recruitment, setting up a dramatic finish as his decision draws near.

On the field, Doyal brings a promising blend of leverage and quick footwork, making him a strong fit for the interior line. While he already plays with good strength, his frame has room to add more weight, which should only boost his college potential. For Washington, adding Doyal would be a major win—they currently have just one 2027 offensive line commit in three-star center Reis Russell and aim to add three or more high schoolers to the unit.

As the battle intensifies, all eyes are on June. Will Doyal stay in-state with the Huskies, or will the Ducks swoop in to claim another Northwest talent? Stay tuned for what promises to be a game-changing decision.
