The Washington Huskies have locked in an official visit with three-star OL Tristan Dare, a former Michigan pledge.

The Washington Huskies are making a strong push to fortify their offensive line, locking in an official visit with a high-priority target: three-star offensive lineman Tristan Dare. This move signals the program's commitment to building depth up front for the future.

Dare, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound standout from Southlake Carroll High School in Texas, initially committed to the Michigan Wolverines in August 2025. However, he reopened his recruitment in late March after head coach Sherrone Moore's firing and the subsequent hiring of Kyle Whittingham. Now, the Huskies are in prime position to make their pitch.

Ranked as the No. 55 interior offensive lineman and No. 821 overall prospect in the 2027 class by the 247Sports Composite, Dare is scheduled for an official visit to Washington on June 19. It won't be an easy recruitment for offensive line coach Michael Switzer, but the two have already built a strong rapport. "I'm excited," Dare told Dawgman.com's Scott Eklund. "I really like Coach Switz a lot and really like the energy and atmosphere there (at Washington)."

Dare, who projects as a center at the college level, holds 34 offers from programs including Florida, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas Tech, and Wisconsin. After an unofficial visit to Seattle in April to observe spring practice, he wasted no time scheduling a return trip. Known for his strength and leverage, Dare could be a key piece for the Huskies' future.

Washington's 2027 recruiting class currently includes one offensive line commit: three-star center Reis Russell. But with starters Landen and Geirean Hatchett expected to graduate after this season, the Huskies have a clear need for interior depth. Adding a player like Dare would be a significant step toward filling that gap.
