Over the last few months, few high school recruits have seen a bigger rise in the national rankings than four-star offensive lineman Rashaun Lavata'i.

After winning offensive line MVP at the Under Armour Next camp in Phoenix, Arizona, in early March, the 6-foot-6, 265-pound offensive lineman from Curtis High School in Tacoma quickly received a scholarship offer from Washington Huskies offensive line coach Michael Switzer. Since then, national interest has begun to boom around Lavata'i, whose older brother Robby, an edge rusher in the 2026 class, signed with the San Diego State Aztecs.

In the latest edition of the Rivals300, Lavatai rocketed up the rankings, where he's listed as the nation's No. 118 overall prospect, No. 9 offensive tackle, and No. 2 player in the state of Washington, only behind four-star wide receiver and UW commit Braylon Pope. Now, after the Huskies saw one of their top targets along the offensive line, three-star Ben Lowther, recommit to the Stanford Cardinal, the emergence of Lavata'i could also help him rise up Washington's board.

Aside from the in-state connection, which Jedd Fisch has placed a major emphasis on throughout his tenure on Montlake, Lavata'i is the ideal developmental prospect for Switzer, and the Huskies could quickly put themselves in a great place to secure his commitment. Currently, he has lined up a trio of official visits with Oregon State, UCLA, and Washington State, and the Huskies could move quickly to lock in a date with him.

On film, he shows off the versatility to line up at both tackle and guard, and displays an advanced understanding of footwork to help him stay in front of his assignment on any given play. Lavata'i also has plenty of room to add weight to his frame, especially in his upper body, which (in the least surprising thing you'll read all day) would be vital if he were to wind up in the Big Ten.

Along with Lavata'i, the Huskies have continued to pursue five-star offensive tackle Oluwasemilore Olubobola, and are looking to set up an official visit with the New Jersey product, while three-star legacy Tye Kennedy
