The Washington Huskies extended an offer to a four-star quarterback from Hawaii in the 2028 class on Tuesday.

The Washington Huskies are making waves on the recruiting trail, and this time, they're setting their sights on the islands. Quarterbacks coach J.P. Losman took his search to Hawaii on Tuesday, extending a coveted offer to four-star signal-caller Hunter Fujikawa from Miliani High School—the same program that produced Huskies redshirt freshman Treston Kini McMillan in the 2025 class.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, Fujikawa is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after quarterbacks in the nation. Ranked as the No. 225 overall prospect and No. 13 quarterback in the 2028 class by 247Sports, he already boasts an impressive 26 offers from powerhouse programs including Alabama, Arizona, Auburn, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Oregon. His recruitment is heating up fast, and Washington's offer adds another heavyweight to the mix.

Fujikawa's journey is one to watch. After spending his sophomore season at Punahou High School in Honolulu, he transferred to Miliani, where his game has truly flourished. He possesses the kind of arm talent that makes defensive coordinators nervous—able to layer throws to all three levels of the field with precision and zip. But what really sets him apart is his athleticism. Whether he's slipping out of the pocket to avoid sacks or taking off as a ball carrier, Fujikawa has the elusiveness that fits perfectly into head coach Jedd Fisch's offensive scheme.

For Washington, landing a talent like Fujikawa would be more than just a win on the recruiting board—it would solidify their presence in Hawaii, a region rich with football talent. As Fisch continues to expand the Huskies' recruiting footprint, building consistent ties in the islands could be the key to competing with the top programs in the Big Ten. With Fujikawa's combination of skill and potential, this offer could be the start of something special for both player and program.
