After back-to-back walk-off losses in Ann Arbor, where they watched multiple run leads slip away in the ninth inning, the Washington Huskies were able to salvage a game against the Michigan Wolverines with a 7-5 win.
Following a leadoff home run from center fielder Evan Haeger, the Huskies took the lead in the third inning following a two-run blast from designated hitter Braeden Terry and never looked back. Out of the leadoff spot, Terry led the way for coach Eddie Smith's team, going 3-for-3 with a pair of walks, 2 runs batted in, and 2 runs scored, before center fielder Mic Paul added a solo blast in the fourth inning to extend the lead.
While the Huskies still allowed a crooked number in the ninth inning, they had provided enough of a cushion for reliever Tommy Brandenberg to work with.

Brandenberg allowed a run on a hit and 2 walks in the final frame to finish off a solid outing from starter Hayden Lewis, who worked 6 innings and allowed 3 runs on 9 hits with a walk and 3 strikeouts to earn the win and improve to 5-4 on the year.
David Lally took the loss for the Wolverines after working the first 5 innings and dropped to 2-3 on the year, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts in the process. After he was removed, Michigan needed seven relievers to finish off the game.
With the win, the Huskies improved to 19-24 on the season and 9-12 in Big Ten play. Before heading back to Seattle, they'll head to Eastern Michigan on Tuesday, April 28, at 9:05 a.m. PT.
