The Golden State Warriors are always on the lookout for the next piece to complement Stephen Curry's brilliance, and a fresh trade pitch suggests they might find it in an unexpected place: Oklahoma City. According to Blue Man Hoop's Peter O'Keefe, the Dubs should set their sights on Thunder guard Aaron Wiggins—a 27-year-old NBA champion with a $45 million contract who could be the perfect fit for Golden State's three-point-heavy system.

Why Wiggins? The numbers tell a compelling story. After losing Moses Moody to a devastating torn patellar tendon injury, the Warriors are desperate for wing depth. Wiggins, standing at a similar size and playing a comparable style, could step right in. This season, he averaged 9.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists, but it's his career-high 12.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists from the previous year that really catches the eye. More importantly, he's a career 38% shooter from beyond the arc—a skill the Warriors sorely need after ranking just 20th in three-point percentage during the regular season.

Wiggins earned every penny of that five-year, $45 million deal he signed with the Thunder in 2024. The Maryland product has been a reliable deep threat throughout his career, and his 38.3% shooting from downtown played a key role in Oklahoma City's first-ever championship in 2025. While he's having a slightly down year from three (35.6%) and hasn't been a major factor in the playoffs, his floor-spacing ability makes him one of the most intriguing trade targets for the Dubs this offseason. For a team built on movement and shooting, adding a proven winner like Wiggins could be the missing piece to another deep playoff run.
