According to a recent report, the Golden State Warriors are prepared to aggressively pursue a Milwaukee Bucks 10-time All-Star forward.

The Golden State Warriors are reportedly gearing up to make a massive push for Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo this offseason—and they’re not letting a disappointing draft lottery result stand in their way.

After hoping to land a top-four pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, the Warriors ended up with the No. 11 selection. But according to a report from ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel, Golden State is still expected to put together a trade offer for the two-time MVP that the Bucks simply can’t ignore.

“Golden State cannot afford to take a chance with this draft pick, and the organization will not go through another two-timeline plan approach that blew up in their face,” Siegel reported. “Many fully expect [owner Joe] Lacob and his front office to package this No. 11 pick with other future assets to try and convince the Bucks to trade them Antetokounmpo.”

For the Warriors, this represents a major shift in strategy. The two-timeline experiment—balancing veteran stars with young prospects like James Wiseman and Jonathan Kuminga—didn’t pan out. And with Kuminga and Buddy Hield already traded midseason, Golden State’s most realistic trade chips are now Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green.

Both players are over 35 and clearly past their prime, which actually makes them easier to part with in a deal for the biggest star on the market. Antetokounmpo, after all, is a generational talent: an NBA champion, two-time MVP, and 10-time All-Star who still averaged 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists this season—even on a Bucks team that stumbled to a 32-50 record.

For Warriors fans dreaming of a new dynasty, this is the kind of blockbuster move that could define the franchise’s next chapter. Whether Milwaukee bites remains to be seen, but one thing is clear—Golden State is ready to go all in.
