It’s the final showdown of the school year, and the stakes have never been higher. The Southwest Florida Boys Athlete of the Week poll, sponsored by MY Shower Door, is back for one last vote—covering standout performances from May 4 through May 9. This is your chance to crown the season’s ultimate champion, and the winner will take home an exclusive athlete of the week T-shirt from BSN Sports, plus a tote bag courtesy of The News-Press and Naples Daily News.
Every week during the school year, we curate a list of the area’s top high school male athletes based on coach reports and school nominations. From track stars breaking records to baseball pitchers dominating the mound, these nine nominees have earned their spot. Voting is open now through 10 a.m. Thursday, and the winner will be announced on social media. Last week, Gateway pole vaulter Dylan Gourley soared to victory with 49% of the vote—who will take the crown this time?
