This week, we're honoring the stars of girls basketball. And narrowing down the list was no easy task. The Treasure Coast has been home to so many impactful players and coaches that choosing just a few felt almost impossible.
Listed in alphabetical order, these athletes all made their mark at the high school level before going on to even greater success in college and the pros. Here are just two of the standout names you'll see on the ballot:
Coach Adams spent 39 years at the helm of Lincoln Park Academy's Lady Greyhounds program, building a legacy defined by record-breaking wins and countless lives touched. When he retired at the end of the 2026 season, he was the winningest girls basketball coach in Treasure Coast history with 558 victories. In 2024, the school honored him by naming its court after him. His influence on the local game runs deep—he was an assistant coach for the legendary 1987 Fort Pierce Central team, which brought home the Treasure Coast's first girls basketball state championship.
Davis was a true force at St. Lucie West Centennial, rewriting the record books with over 2,500 points and 1,500 rebounds. A McDonald's All-American finalist, she also dominated on the softball diamond as an elite base stealer and was a two-time state champion in the 400-meter run. She went on to have a standout college career at Old Dominion during its peak years, winning three conference regular season and tournament titles.
These are just two of the many incredible figures who have shaped girls basketball on the Treasure Coast. Now, we want to hear from you. Cast your vote and help decide who deserves the title of all-time best.
