It's time to cast your vote for The News Tribune's Baseball Athlete of the Week, honoring the top performers from games played between May 4 and May 9. Voting is open until noon on Thursday, so don't miss your chance to support your favorite player.

Below, you'll find the poll along with a rundown of each candidate's standout achievements from the past week. If the poll doesn't appear at the bottom of the page, try switching to a different browser, like Chrome or Safari. Please note that emailed votes won't be counted.

Here are the nominees for this week:

Brooks Barker, Capital – The junior delivered a complete-game shutout (6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K) and scored three runs at the plate (1-for-2, 2 BB) in Monday's 10-0 win over Bellarmine Prep.

Max Bergford, Gig Harbor – In a relief effort during the 5-3 win over Peninsula in the 3A PSL title game, he tossed four innings, striking out seven, walking one, and allowing just one hit and no runs.

Kade Cagampang, Kent-Meridian – The sophomore catcher went 3-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in Thursday's 12-1 win over Rainier Beach.

Bryce Carl, Sumner – The junior left fielder went 3-for-4 with two RBI in an 8-6 4A SPSL semifinal win over Graham-Kapowsin on Tuesday.

Brayden Cheeka, Olympia – The senior left fielder went 2-for-3 and made a game-saving catch at the wall for the final out of Wednesday's 1-0 4A SPSL championship win over Sumner.

Jason Coray, Gig Harbor – The sophomore third baseman went 2-for-2 with a walk, two runs, and five RBI in Monday's win over Timberline.

Trey Davies, Tahoma – The junior second baseman went 2-for-3 with a walk, double, three runs, and five RBI in Monday's win over Auburn.

Alex Dutenhoffer, Decatur – The junior right-hander threw five strong innings (1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 7 K) in Monday's 15-0 win over Kent-Meridian.

Logan Eckert, Auburn Mountainview – The designated hitter delivered a walk-off single in the 14th inning to seal the victory.
