The Upstate is full of high school baseball talent.

As we get closer to the end of the SCHSL regular season, here’s a chance to pick the 2026 midseason player of year from a selected group of finalists.

Statistics are through April 10, collected from The Diamond Prospects, MaxPreps and from responses submitted from coaches.

Greyson Austin, Wren, Sr.: Austin batted .514 (18-for-35) with a home run, five doubles, 12 runs scored and 11 RBIs.

Nolan Collins, Landrum, Sr.: Collins went 5-0 on the mound with a 1.12 ERA, 51 strikeouts, 11 hits and 10 walks in 25 innings. He batted. 421 with two home runs, seven doubles and 21 RBIs.

Ethan Cooker, Mauldin, Sr.: Cooker posted a 1.73 ERA in 28.1 innings with 28 strikeouts, six walks and 23 hits allowed. He batted .425 with 11 RBIs.

Parker Davis, Fountain Inn, Sr.: Davis went 4-0 and did not allow an earned run in 21.1 innings pitched. He batted .396 with four homers, three triples and 24 RBIs.

Chase Hendrix, Riverside, So.: Hendrix batted .455 with three home runs, including two in one game.

Palmer Hornick, Dorman, Sr.: Hornick batted .421 with three home runs, 20 RBIs, 16 runs scored and 11 stolen bases. He led the state with 15 walks.

Bo Lowrance, Christ Church, Sr.: Lowrance hit four home runs and drove in 14 runs with 12 stolen bases while batting .375.

Charlie McCrory, Spartanburg, So.: McCrory batted .476 with six doubles and 14 runs scored.

John Miedrich, Mountain View Prep, Sr.: Miedrich batted .515 (17-for-33) with 13 stolen bases, 12 RBIs and 17 runs scored.

JD Moore, Boiling Springs, Sr.: Moore batted .465 with two home runs, 21 RBIs, 10 stolen bases and 16 runs scored.

Brayden Owens, Byrnes, Jr.: Owens batted .435 with seven doubles and 17 RBIs

Cal Schnabel, Daniel, So.: Schnabel batted .482 with 17 RBIs and 17 runs

Garrett Shipman, Hillcrest, Sr.: Shipman led the state in wins with a 6-0 record and had a 0.68 ERA with 56 strikeouts and only 11 hits allowed in 35 innings.
