Each week during the high school sports season, fans like you get to choose the best of the best—one standout girl and one standout boy. This year, we've expanded the lineup: there are now separate stories for girls and boys, featuring more athletes than ever before on each ballot. That means more chances to celebrate the incredible talent across Vermont's fields, courts, and tracks.

Voting is simple and secure. All ballots are hosted exclusively at burlingtonfreepress.com—no votes via email or social media will be counted. So make sure to head online and support your favorite athlete. Voting opened on Monday, May 11, and runs through 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 14. The winners will be announced in a special story on Friday, May 15.
