Home run hitters and pitchers with no-hitters headline this week's nominees. Voting ends at 8 p.m. on May 17.

It's time to cast your vote for the Softball Player of the Week for May 4-10! This week's nominees are packed with power hitters and dominant pitchers, including home run heroes and no-hitter artists. Voting closes at 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 17.

Last week's winner was Dartmouth's Addy Thomas, who crushed the competition with over 14,000 votes (87% of the total). Thomas delivered a pair of wins in the circle against Bridgewater-Raynham and Barnstable, allowing just 5 earned runs on 12 hits while striking out 10. She also made noise at the plate, going 1-for-5 with 4 RBIs against Barnstable.

Previous winners include GNB Voc-Tech's Leah Perez and Khloe Pereira, New Bedford's Brylee DeDeus, and Old Colony's Abby Norton. And don't forget, Old Colony's Madison Canton took home Preseason Softball Player of the Year honors with more than 10,000 votes (50%).

Each week during the regular season, we spotlight the top performances from the diamond. Here are this week's standout nominees:

Bogdan crushed her first career home run against Old Rochester and went a combined 4-for-7 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored, and an RBI against New Bedford and Fairhaven.

Burnap was on fire in two games against Fairhaven and Old Rochester, going a combined 6-for-8 with 3 doubles, 4 runs scored, and 5 RBIs.

Kelly lit up the scoreboard in three games, going 6-for-12 with a pair of home runs, 6 RBIs, and 5 runs scored.

Suneson showed patience and power, going a combined 3-for-4 with 2 walks, 2 RBIs, and 4 runs scored against New Bedford and Old Rochester.

Taylor was untouchable, throwing a no-hitter in a win over New Bedford with 9 strikeouts and no walks over 7 innings. She also led the Lakers to wins over Old Rochester (no earned runs, 1 hit, 11 strikeouts) and Fairhaven (2 earned runs, 5 hits, 8 strikeouts).

Chasse dominated in the circle, pitching 5 innings with 3 hits, no walks, and 10 strikeouts in a win over Barnstable.

Megna, a freshman, made a splash against Dartmouth, going 2-for-2 with a walk and her first career home run.

Pomfret earned a pair of wins on the mound against Bishop Stang and Hingham, allowing a combined 3 runs on 8 hits with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts.

Silva was a hitting machine, collecting a combined 5 hits in two games against Bishop Stang and Hingham.
