The winner of last week’s Girls Athlete of the Week poll was Fairhaven’s Briarose Aspden. She had more than 3,000 votes (69%) to receive the honor.
Previous winners were GNB Voc-Tech’s Zoey Chase and Bishop Stang’s A’mya Acevedo.

Cowles took second in the 800 (2:20.47) at the Mercury Games Invitational.
At the Mercury Games Invitational, Hebert took third in the 400 (1:03.66).
Girls Lacrosse: Avery Smith's draws power Dartmouth
In two games, Smith had a combined 19 saves and recorded a shutout against GNB Voc-Tech.
In a win over Attleboro, Gangi had 3 goals and 1 assist.
Smith had 7 goals and 5 draw controls in a win over Attleboro.
Lewis had a combined 5 goals and 7 assists in a pair of games.
In two games, Perry had a combined 8 goals and 3 assists.
Souza scored 4 goals in a win over Somerset Berkley.
Caulkins had 6 goals and 1 assist in a win over Seekonk.
Pavao won her first singles match against Somerset Berkley.
Houdelette won her second singles matches against Dighton-Rehoboth and Fairhaven.
Matos won her first singles matches against Dighton-Rehoboth and Fairhaven.
