Here are the nominees making their case:
Jordyn Aungst, East Lincoln – A workhorse in the circle, Aungst finished with a 12-5 record and a stellar 2.14 ERA. She fanned 132 batters over 108 innings, proving she's a game-changer when it counts.
Mia Bergman, North Lincoln – At the plate, Bergman was a force, hitting .481 with two home runs, 14 doubles, a triple, 25 RBIs, and 18 runs scored heading into the NCHSAA 5A West third round.
Madison Crocker, Crest – Crocker powered the Chargers with a .500 average, six homers, five doubles, a triple, 25 RBIs, and 27 runs scored before their third-round showdown.
Lana Hanson, Gaston Christian – Hanson torched opposing pitchers with a .522 batting average, three home runs, nine doubles, three triples, 39 RBIs, and 34 runs scored.
