The winner of last week’s Baseball Player of the Week poll was Dartmouth’s Dom Gioiosa. He had more than 14,000 votes (60%) to receive the honor.
In a win over GNB Voc-Tech, Gioiosa allowed no runs on 1 hit and 2 walks with 6 strikeouts over 5 innings.
Previous winners were Dartmouth’s Chase Afonso and Sebastian Diaz.
The winner of the Preseason Baseball Player of the Year poll was Dartmouth’s Logan Stott with more than 1,000 votes (38%).

Antonya had a 2-RBI single to spark the Lakers in an eight-inning comeback win over West Bridgewater. He also had a sacrifice fly to tie the game at 2 in the top of the seventh inning.
Butler pitched 2 innings of relief to get the win, allowing no hits and no walks with 1 strikeout in an eight-inning win over West Bridgewater. He also had 2 doubles and an RBI. Against D-R, he had 1 hit and 1 RBI.
Kanakis improved to 3-0 on the mound with a win over Dighton-Rehoboth. He went 6 ⅔ innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 7 hits and 3 walks with 4 strikeouts. Kanakis also had a hit and RBI at the plate. In a win over West Bridgewater, Kanakis had 1 hit and 1 RBI.
Afonso improved to 3-0 with a win over Sandwich, allowing 6 runs (4 earned) on 11 hits and 3 walks with 4 strikeouts. He also went 2-for-4 at the plate with 2 RBIs and a run scored.
In three games, Beauparland 8-for-11 with a walk, 2 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He also threw 2 innings of no-hit, no-run ball against Sandwich.
In a pair of wins over Sandwich and Case, Diaz went a combined 3-for-7 with 3 RBIs.
Nunes-Medeiros went a combined 3-for-6 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs in two games.

In three games, Lajoie went a combined 6-for-10 with 6 stolen bases, 3 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
Lamontagne improved to 2-0 with a win over Seekonk, allowing 1 unearned run on 2 hits and 1 walk with 9 strikeouts over 6 ⅓ innings. He also went a combined 2-for-5 with 2 walks, 2 stolen bases and 3 runs scored in wins over GNB Voc-Tech and Moses Brown.
In a win over GNB Voc-Tech, Pires was 1 out away from a perfect game. He allowed 1 earned run on 1 hit and no walks with 13 strikeouts over 7 innings. He also went 1-for-3 with 2 RBIs. Pires also picked up the save with 2 strikeouts in a win over Seekonk.
Alfaiate picked up his first varsity win on the mound, allowing 2 hits over 4 innings in a victory over Old Colony.
