Introducing the candidates for the 2026 Daily News Fans Midseason Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year. These talented athletes were selected from your nominations in our Player of the Week polls, and they've proven their skill, grit, and passion on the field every game.
From clutch goals to game-saving stops, here's a glimpse of the action that got us here: Hopkinton's Devyn Santucci (sophomore, #8) found the net against Holliston, while Holliston senior Amelia Laingen stood tall in goal. Hopkinton senior Kendall Tom showed off her stick skills, and Holliston sophomore Nora Mcelligott battled Hopkinton freshman Murphy Chatten Guerette for possession. Hopkinton's Avery Quebec (junior) and Taylor Interrante (junior) kept the pressure on offense, while Holliston senior Abigail Laingen sprinted downfield with Hopkinton's Avery Quebec in hot pursuit. Hopkinton senior Cadyn Rosendale handled the ball with confidence, and Holliston freshman Brooklyn Lessard fought for every loose ball against Hopkinton's Siya Bonala (sophomore). In net, Holliston's Amelia Laingen made a key save on a shot by Hopkinton senior Casey Owens. After a goal, Hopkinton senior goalkeeper Dylan Norred and senior captain Katie DellaCioppa celebrated together, while head coach Marisa Remley rallied the team at halftime.
