Nicolette Amorosi, Senior Outfielder, Montville
Amorosi caught fire at the plate, launching home runs in consecutive games to power wins over Montclair and Sparta. She went 3-for-7 on the week, including a key homer in a 5-2 victory over Sparta on May 2 in the second round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex tournament. After entering the season with just two career home runs, Amorosi has now gone deep in three straight games—a remarkable hot streak.
Mackenzie Colburn, Senior Pitcher, Madison
Colburn was nearly unhittable in a 7-0 shutout of Madison on April 28, tossing a one-hit gem in the second round of the Morris County tournament. She struck out a season-high 14 batters while walking just one over seven dominant innings. It's the kind of performance that can carry a team deep into postseason play.
Julianna Fox, Senior Infielder, Morris Catholic
Fox powered the Golden Eagles to their sixth straight win, going 9-for-14 at the plate with eight RBIs and four runs scored. She stole two bases and crushed two home runs—one in each game against Whippany Park. Her May 2 blast in the Morris County quarterfinals marked the 20th homer of her high school career for the Stony Brook commit.
Sammy Murphy, Sophomore Pitcher, Morris Knolls
Murphy delivered a complete performance in a 3-2 win over Roxbury on April 28, striking out 13 while allowing no earned runs. But she didn't stop there—she also led the offense, going 3-for-3 with two home runs and a double. A true two-way star in the making.
Morgan Neretich, Junior Infielder, Mountain Lakes
Neretich was a consistent force for the Mustangs, going 5-for-11 with a home run, three RBIs, and three runs scored.
