It's time to recognize the best of the best in Greater Cincinnati high school sports! The Cincinnati Enquirer is now accepting votes for this week's Beacon Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Athlete of the Week, honoring standout performances through May 10, 2026.
This week's nominees span a wide range of sports, showcasing the incredible depth of talent across our region. From the wrestling mat to the basketball court, from the bowling alley to the swimming pool, these athletes have delivered unforgettable moments that deserve your recognition.
Recent winners have set the bar high. Easton Ballinger of Eastwood claimed wrestling honors, while Knox Mills of Hamilton dominated on the hardwood. Team achievements have also been celebrated, with the St. Bernard-Elmwood Place and Norwood boys basketball squads earning weekly accolades, alongside the Clark Montessori girls team for their impressive play.
Individual standouts have shined as well. Maddie Turner of Norwood made history with her wrestling recognition, while Grayson Ozias of Ross made waves as swimmer/diver of the week. Kian Bronner of Loveland and Bryton Vaughn of Talawanda showcased their precision in bowling, and Logan Cole of Felicity-Franklin represented small-school excellence. Hannah Weigle of Little Miami also earned her spot among the elite bowlers earlier this season.
