Welcome to another exciting edition of the Enterprise Brockton-area High School Female Athlete of the Week! We're thrilled to celebrate the incredible talent and determination of our local student-athletes, and this week's lineup is packed with standout performances that deserve your attention.

First, a big congratulations to Morgan Nascarella of Whitman-Hanson softball, who earned last week's honor with an impressive 50.04% of the vote. Nascarella delivered a complete game in the circle, striking out 4 batters and leading the Panthers to a 10-4 victory over Scituate. It's a testament to her skill and poise under pressure.

Now, let's dive into this week's pool of candidates—each one has left their mark on the field with unforgettable moments. From dominant pitching displays to explosive hitting, these athletes are raising the bar for high school sports.

Start with Testa, who fanned 10 batters and allowed just one earned run in a 7-3 win over Braintree, while also contributing at the plate with a hit, an RBI, and 2 runs scored. Then there's Roy, who delivered a walk-off hero moment, driving in the game-winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning to edge Plymouth North 5-4, finishing with 3 hits, including a double, and a run.

Barnes was a force on both sides of the ball, pitching a 2-hitter with 10 strikeouts and going 3-for-3 at the plate with a 2-run homer and 4 RBIs in a 13-1 win over Arlington Catholic. She followed that up with another 2-hitter and 11 strikeouts in a 7-1 victory over Bishop Fenwick. Meanwhile, Schlossberg showcased pure power, driving in 4 RBIs with a 3-run home run in a 12-0 win over Carver, then adding two more homers and 4 RBIs in a 17-0 rout of Southeastern.

Perron reached a major milestone, scoring her 100th career goal and adding 5 more to lead the Tigers to a 16-6 win over Sharon, then chipping in 4 more in a 17-8 victory. Murdock also hit a career landmark, recording her 300th strikeout in a 4-3 win over Fontbonne Academy, taking down 12 batters in a complete game effort.

Shirey delivered a dual threat, blasting two solo home runs and earning the win with 11 strikeouts in a 9-3 victory over Oliver Ames. Morales had a day to remember, launching a 3-run homer and a grand slam—all in the first inning—of a 20-1 win over Bourne, finishing with 8 RBIs and 2 runs. Finally, Anderson led the Panthers offensively, going 3-for-4 with 5 RBIs in a 14-1 win over Hanover.

These athletes are redefining what it means to compete at a high level, and we can't wait to see who you'll choose as this week's winner. Voting ends Monday, May 18 at noon, so make your voice heard and support these amazing players. Whether you're a fan of softball, lacrosse, or just great sports stories, this is your chance to celebrate the best of Brockton-area athletics.
