This week, readers are voting for the El Paso Children's Hospital High School Athlete of the Week, spotlighting standout performances in baseball, tennis, track and field, and softball.

From the tennis courts to the diamond, these athletes delivered unforgettable moments. Makenzie Baptist of Coronado tennis made a powerful statement by securing second place at the Class 6A state tournament in San Antonio—a feat that showcases her elite skills on a big stage.

On the softball field, Emily Sanchez of Parkland was a force at the plate, racking up five hits and four RBIs in two playoff games against Fort Worth Brewer. Her clutch hitting kept her team in the hunt.

Track and field saw impressive performances from both sides. His teammate Liam Esquivel also shined, earning the win on the mound in that same decisive third game.
