Virgil van Dijk believes Mohamed Salah will "do everything in his power" to ensure he takes to the field at least once more for Liverpool before his summer exit.
Salah, the club's third all-time leading scorer with 257 goals, made his 440th appearance for the Reds on Saturday as Crystal Palace lost 3-1 at Anfield.
However, the Egyptian superstar was forced off with a muscle problem just before the hour mark. Liverpool head coach Arne Slot confirmed post-game that Salah would undergo a scan to assess the severity of the injury, as per the Liverpool Echo.

The setback has raised the alarming possibility that the No.11 may have already played his final game for the club, with just four games remaining in the season.
On Sunday, Egypt's technical director Ibrahim Hassan suggested the 33-year-old would be sidelined for the next four weeks. Nevertheless, Van Dijk insists his long-time teammate will go above and beyond to ensure he is fit for selection once more for the club he has served with distinction since 2017.
"We will see him again this season? I hope so," the Liverpool captain said. "There will be a medical assessment and then that will determine what the issue is going to be.
"I know he is doing everything in his power to be back on the pitch as soon as possible.
"If you get injured at this stage of the season, especially in the situation he is in, there are only two more home games left for him... it's a combination of feelings that go through your mind when you go off.
"The reality is he has to get scanned, assessed, hopefully he won't be long, but at this point I don't know. Maybe he's back next week, maybe not. I have no idea.
"He will get the send-off regardless. I don't think that is the thing at this point, we shouldn't think too far ahead. Knowing Mo he is a quick healer with the right people around us and let's see."
Liverpool, who climbed to fourth place following their victory over Palace, travel to third-placed Manchester United on Sunday at Old Trafford. The Reds then welcome Chelsea to Anfield, before making the trip to Aston Villa and rounding out their Premier League season with a home game against Brentford on the final day of the season.
