The Minnesota Vikings have made a savvy move to strengthen their receiving corps, signing former San Francisco 49ers wideout Jauan Jennings to a one-year deal worth up to $13 million with incentives. The 29-year-old Jennings brings a rugged, reliable presence to a room already headlined by superstar Justin Jefferson and rising star Jordan Addison.

This addition comes at a crucial time for Minnesota. After losing Jalen Nailor—who racked up 444 receiving yards in 2025—to a three-year, $35 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, the Vikings needed to fill the void. Jennings steps in as a proven veteran who can absorb many of those 53 vacated targets, giving quarterback Kyler Murray—expected to win the starting job over J.J. McCarthy and Carson Wentz—another trusted option downfield.

A seventh-round pick out of Tennessee in 2020, Jennings spent five seasons in San Francisco before hitting free agency. He was a late bloomer, breaking out in 2024 with a career-high 975 yards and six touchdowns on 77 catches. He followed that up with a solid 2025 campaign, hauling in a personal-best nine touchdowns despite slightly lower yardage totals.

Jennings' arrival adds grit and versatility to a Vikings offense that already boasts one of the league's most dynamic duos. With two former NFC West standouts now in key roles—Jennings and Murray—Minnesota is shaping up to be a fascinating team to watch in 2026.
