The Minnesota Vikings are making moves to fill their vacant general manager position, and they've set their sights on a familiar face in the NFL front office world. The team has formally requested an interview with Tennessee Titans assistant general manager Dave Ziegler, a seasoned executive with a championship pedigree.
Ziegler joined the Titans in 2025 following the hiring of Mike Borgonzi as general manager. While Tennessee's 2025 campaign was a difficult one to stomach, the struggles were largely attributed to coaching issues rather than roster construction—a testament to Ziegler's eye for talent.
With 16 years of NFL experience under his belt, Ziegler is no stranger to high-stakes front office battles. He broke into the league in 2010 as a player personnel assistant for the Denver Broncos, quickly earning a promotion to scout. But it was his eight-year stint with the New England Patriots that truly shaped his career. During his time in Foxborough, Ziegler climbed the ranks to Director of Player Personnel and was part of three Super Bowl-winning teams.
In 2022, he took the leap to become general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders. After two seasons, he moved on to serve as a personnel advisor for the New Orleans Saints in 2024 before landing with the Titans.
It remains to be seen whether Tennessee will grant the Vikings' interview request, and if so, when that meeting might take place. But one thing is clear: if Minnesota locks in Ziegler, the Titans could soon be back on the hunt for a new assistant general manager.
