The Minnesota Vikings have officially kicked off their search for a new General Manager, and the first external candidate has emerged. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, the Vikings have requested an interview with Terrance Gray, the assistant general manager of the Buffalo Bills.
This move comes after the Vikings parted ways with Kwesi Adofo-Mensah back in January. Since then, executive vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski has been handling the GM duties, with a plan to conduct a thorough search following the NFL Draft. Now that the draft is in the rearview mirror, the front office shuffle is heating up.
Gray brings an interesting blend of experience to the table. He's been a key figure in Buffalo's front office since 2017, helping build a perennial contender. But what makes this connection particularly intriguing is his history with the Vikings. Before joining the Bills, Gray spent 11 years as a scout in Minnesota, giving him deep familiarity with the organization's culture and personnel. He also spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs earlier in his career, rounding out a resume that spans multiple successful franchises.
While Gray is the first outside name to surface, Brzezinski remains a strong internal candidate for the permanent role. With the search just getting started, expect more names to emerge in the coming days as the Vikings look to find their next leader in the front office.
