Vega Ioane Embracing the Ravens Culture AlreadyBefore draft night even happened, Vega Ioane already had a sense that Baltimore could be the place, and it wasn't just about scheme or opportunity—it was about how the organization made him feel.
The Ravens’ first-round pick talked about his pre-draft visit and why it stood out compared to the rest of the process.
“Yes, I had a good feeling. I went out there for a [Top] 30 visit about two weeks ago before I came home. [There's] a lot of good people, a lot of good staff members in [Baltimore]. It was more of a family environment than a work environment. That's exactly what I look for, and [I] had a good feeling [I'd get drafted there], because everybody was saying so.”
Baltimore has built a reputation around culture, and it clearly resonated with Ioane early on. From the front office to the coaching staff, that connection matters—especially when you’re trying to bring in players who fit more than just on the field.
Now that it’s official, that “feeling” turns into reality, and it looks like a natural fit already.
