Vanderbilt football is set to have its biggest year in the NFL draft during Clark Lea's tenure.
Since Lea took the job in 2020, the Commodores have only had one player drafted − long snapper Julian Ashby in the seventh round in 2025. But Eli Stowers is one of the top tight end prospects in the class and was the Mackey Award winner, and Heisman runner-up Diego Pavia also has a shot at getting drafted. Pavia and Stowers transferred together from New Mexico State before the 2024 season.
The 2026 NFL Draft will begin on April 23 in Pittsburgh. Day 1 will be televised on ESPN, ABC and NFL Network beginning at 7 p.m. CT. Day 2 will take place at 6 p.m. CT on April 24 and Day 3 at 11 a.m. CT on April 25.
