Valtteri Bottas has shared a wild story from the Miami Grand Prix weekend—one that involved a stolen Cadillac Escalade, a missing paddock pass, and even the FBI stepping in.

The Finnish driver, now racing for Cadillac Formula 1, revealed on the What's Next podcast that the team-provided SUV was swiped from the driveway of his Airbnb in Fort Lauderdale. Instead of staying in the hustle and bustle of Miami or South Beach, Bottas opted for the quieter vibes of Fort Lauderdale. But that calm was shattered on Saturday morning.

Bottas explained that he returned to the Airbnb on Friday evening after practice and sprint qualifying, locked the car securely, and left the keys safely inside the house. "I got back Friday as normal. Drove our car to the driveway, had a quick dinner, early to bed. Car keys are inside the house. Car is locked," he said.

The next morning, just 15 minutes before he was set to leave for the Hard Rock Stadium, Bottas got a shocking call from his friend Paul Harris, who was also staying at the property. "He was like, 'Well, the car is gone.' I couldn't believe it. I went outside, opened the door. The Escalade has vanished. Keys are still inside on the table," Bottas recalled.

What made the situation even more alarming? The thief also made off with Bottas's paddock pass and VIP parking pass—credentials that grant access to some of the most restricted areas in Formula 1. The incident escalated quickly, with the FBI becoming involved in the investigation.
