Mississippi State baseball not only reunited brothers Tomas and Vytas Valincius, but their mom has also been living with them for the season.

For years, Vaida Valincius was a road warrior, clocking an estimated 60,000 miles annually just to catch her sons, Tomas and Vytas, play baseball. The Valincius family hails from Lockport, Illinois, a Chicago suburb, but the brothers' baseball journeys took them across the country—from California and Arizona to Tennessee, South Carolina, and Virginia. With Tomas and Vytas three years apart, they rarely shared a lineup, making Vaida's solo mission to support each son a true labor of love.

"I put down like three cars, I think," Vaida told The Clarion Ledger, laughing at the memory of those countless hours on the road.

But this season, the long drives have finally paid off. At Mississippi State, the Valincius brothers are reunited for the first time as teammates, and Vaida has traded the highway for a home—literally. She's been living with her sons in Starkville for the entire season, turning what was once a grueling commute into a front-row seat to their shared success.

It's a full-circle moment for the family, and for the Bulldogs, having the Valincius brothers on the same roster has brought a unique blend of talent and heart to the diamond. For Vaida, this season isn't just about baseball—it's about finally being able to cheer from the same place every game, with both her boys in the same dugout.
