Sergiño Dest said he's "almost back" from his hamstring injury, a boost for the U.S. men's national team as the World Cup nears.
The right back suffered the injury March 7 in a match with PSV, going down in severe pain after a collision with an AZ player.
The injury sparked fears that the 25-year-old could be in danger of missing the World Cup, which kicks off in June.
PSV would not put a timetable on Dest's recovery but did say that the defender would aim to return before the end of the season.
In a Q&A session on the USMNT's Instagram account on Monday, April 20, Dest said that he was on track to meet that goal.
"I'm doing really well," the right back said. "I had great sessions, and I'm almost back.
"I worked really hard for this moment, so I'm gonna be there. I'm gonna be fine. And no worries."

Dest's words echo those of PSV coach Peter Bosz, who said earlier this month that he expected the defender to return before the season ends.
PSV has already clinched the Eredivisie title for a third consecutive season. The Eindhoven club has four matches remaining on the campaign, which ends May 17.
Dest has scored two goals in 37 caps for the USMNT, starting all four matches at the 2022 World Cup. If healthy, he is expected to start again at the 2026 World Cup.
The USMNT begins the tournament on home soil with a match against Paraguay on June 12.
