Four local schools announced new head coaches recently, whether promoting from within or conducting national searches. Here's who you'll see on the sidelines next season at CHCA, Lebanon, Loveland, and Ursuline Academy.
After serving as assistant coach for two seasons, Megan Glass is stepping into the head coaching role at Ursuline Academy.
Glass was an elite swimmer at Ursuline Academy, winning four state championships, setting an Ohio High School Athletic Association record in the 100-meter butterfly, and being named The Enquirer's 2019 girls swimmer of the year. After graduating in 2019 as an honors student, she continued her swimming career at the University of Michigan and the University of Notre Dame. Over the span of five seasons, she served as a team captain, won a Big Ten Championship, and was named an NCAA All-American.
Glass graduated from Michigan with a bachelor's degree in data science, then earned her master's in business analytics from Notre Dame. She currently works as a business analyst for the Cincinnati Reds.
Ursuline's athletic director Colleen O'Brien said she is excited to promote Glass after two years assisting the program.
"We are thrilled to promote Coach Glass to head coach," O'Brien told The Enquirer. "Her expertise, passion for the sport and deep understanding of the UA community make her an outstanding leader for our program."
Lebanon announced the hiring of Kimar Morris as the next head coach of the Lady Warriors basketball team on April 16, pending board approval.
Lebanon athletic director Keith Pantling emphasized the reputation Morris has built up in his time in the Cincinnati basketball scene.
"Lebanon looks forward to the energy and vision he will bring," Pantling said in a release, "as his holistic approach emphasizes skill development, passion, unity, character and academic excellence while striving to maximize student-athlete potential and reestablish a competitive presence in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference."
Morris was previously the head coach at Hamilton, where he won as many games in two seasons as the program had recorded over the five years before his arrival. Morris's high school coaching career began as the junior varsity coach at Aiken High School in 2002, and he has since served as an assistant at Hamilton and spent three seasons (2014-2017) as the head boys basketball coach at Finneytown.

Morris holds a bachelor's in communications from the University of Cincinnati and a master's in education from the University of Dayton. He has worked as an educator in several capacities, currently serving as an intervention specialist for Hamilton City Schools. He is also an active motivational speaker for local schools and youth programs.
Morris already has a plan for how he'll build up the Lebanon Lady Warriors.
"Our program will be built on PRIDE ‒ Passion, Relentless effort, Innovation, Discipline and Excellence," Morris said in a release. "Our goal is to develop young women who lead with confidence, compete with purpose, and carry themselves with pride both on and off the court."
Loveland is naming Jason Simpson its next girls basketball head coach, pending board approval at an April 21 meeting.
Simpson, the father of Mount Notre Dame star Ava Simpson, has been the coach of the Cincy Sparks AAU team. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), he expressed his excitement about stepping into the new role.
"Looking forward to guiding these student athletes to success on and off the court," Simpson said on X. "Thanks to my wife and kids for understanding my passion."
