Five Brewers named to Pipeline’s updated top 100 prospects

It's been an exciting week for the Milwaukee Brewers organization, as MLB Pipeline has released its first updated top 100 prospect rankings of the season—and the Brew Crew is making major headlines.

Leading the charge is 19-year-old phenom Jesús Made, who has officially been named baseball's No. 1 overall prospect. With the graduation of Pirates shortstop Konnor Griffin, Made steps into the top spot—and he's earned every bit of it. A true five-tool talent, Made regularly throws 100-mph fastballs across the diamond and generates exit velocities north of 110 mph. Currently the youngest player in Double-A, he's tied for the Southern League lead in triples (3), ranks third in hits (36), and is tied for fourth in stolen bases (15). While he's hit a bit of a rough patch this month with a .464 OPS, his overall body of work leaves no doubt: this is the best prospect in baseball.

Another name to watch is infielder Luis Peña, who was off to a blistering start at High-A with a .372/.462/.512 slash line. Unfortunately, Peña collapsed in the dugout on April 22 due to heatstroke and hasn't played in over three weeks. The Brewers have confirmed he was scheduled to see a neurologist, but no further updates have been shared. Here's hoping for a full and speedy recovery.

On a brighter note, breakout star Lara is turning heads with the Triple-A Nashville Sounds. After totaling just eight home runs across three seasons in the lower minors, Lara has already slugged seven homers through 40 games with Nashville, posting a .338 batting average and a .966 OPS. He's playing so well that Brewers manager Pat Murphy is now fielding questions about when Lara might get the call to Milwaukee.

Meanwhile, two other Brewers prospects in Triple-A—Williams and Pratt—have had mixed results. Williams, hitting .247/.371/.370, is starting to heat up with a .317 average and .936 OPS over the last two weeks. Pratt, who signed an eight-year extension with the Brewers last month, is struggling at .217/.342/.326 and has managed just a .603 OPS over the same stretch. Still, Williams looks very close to being major-league ready, and both remain key pieces of the Brewers' future.

With five Brewers now featured in the updated top 100, the future in Milwaukee has never looked brighter. Whether you're stocking up on Brewers gear or just following the next wave of stars, this is a team you'll want to keep an eye on.
