Blake, making his 277th career start for the Union, turned away five shots to earn his second clean sheet of the season and the 91st of his storied career. The Jamaican international's performance was particularly impressive given Philadelphia's difficult start to the campaign—the club entered the match at 1-7-2, their worst opening in history after winning both the Eastern Conference and Supporters' Shield last season.

On the other side, the 24-year-old Schwake continued his remarkable rookie campaign, making two saves in his 10th career start. The young goalkeeper has now posted shutouts in half of his starts, allowing just six goals total this season. His two first-half stops came within nine minutes of each other, denying Cavan Sullivan in the 29th minute and Ezekiel Alladoh shortly after.

The result was particularly notable given Nashville's offensive firepower—the Eastern Conference leaders (7-1-2) came into the match having scored a league-high 21 goals. The clean sheet marked just the second time this season Nashville has been held scoreless.

Philadelphia (0-3-2 at home) continues to search for their first home victory of the season, while Nashville (3-1-2 on the road) showed why they're among the league's toughest traveling sides. The visitors had beaten Philadelphia twice last season, though the Union still hold a 4-3-3 advantage in the all-time series.
