The North Carolina Tar Heels' offseason roster construction is gaining momentum under new head coach Michael Malone. After adding talent through the transfer portal and securing key returnees, the program received another significant boost this weekend.

Guard Isaiah Denis announced via social media that he is withdrawing from the transfer portal and will return to Chapel Hill for another season. Denis had entered the portal a few weeks ago but, following a meeting with Coach Malone and the staff, decided to run it back with the Tar Heels.

A former four-star prospect from the 2025 recruiting class, Denis saw limited action in his freshman year, appearing in 10 games and averaging 1.9 points per contest. Despite the modest stats, the coaching staff remains very high on his potential to provide valuable backcourt depth and develop into a key contributor.
