The wait is finally over—EA Sports has dropped the first official trailer for UFC 6, and it’s already generating serious buzz. With a June 19 release date locked in, the game is set to deliver some of the most anticipated matchups in MMA gaming history.
Last month, it was confirmed that Alex Pereira and Max Holloway would grace the cover, and the debut trailer puts both stars front and center. The so-called “cover curse” is already a hot topic among fans, especially with Pereira headlining the upcoming White House event and Holloway fresh off one of the most iconic knockouts of the year at UFC 300.
Speaking of Holloway—his performance against Justin Gaethje was nothing short of legendary. ‘Blessed’ claimed the BMF title with a knockout that’s already being replayed on loop. Now, in the UFC 6 trailer, we see him get a measure of revenge against Conor McGregor, dropping and finishing ‘The Notorious’ in a simulated rematch—one that’s reportedly being lined up for UFC 329 in July.
On the other side of the octagon, Alex Pereira gets his own highlight moment. The trailer shows him squaring off against Ciryl Gane, with Gane initially controlling the action before ‘Poatan’ turns the tide. The comeback is punctuated by an electrifying call from commentator Jon Anik as Pereira lands the decisive blow.
Beyond the headliners, the trailer teases new career mode cutscenes and a few other dream matchups. Ilia Topuria is seen unloading heavy shots on Justin Gaethje, Paddy Pimblett, and Arman Tsarukyan—though some fans expected him to land the cover spot instead.
There’s also exciting news for women’s MMA fans. UFC flyweight champion Alexa Grasso will serve as a special guest commentator for women's fights in the game. And while Tyson Fury and Muhammad Ali were pre-order bonuses for UFC 5, this year’s edition is expected to bring Amanda Serrano and Claressa Shields through post-launch updates.
The full roster will be unveiled over the next few weeks, with pre-orders opening on May 31 for PlayStation and Xbox Series X/S. Whether you're gearing up for career mode or just want to settle some scores, UFC 6 is shaping up to be a knockout.
