When a fighter known for his own unfiltered mouth says you've crossed the line, you know it's bad. That's exactly where rising heavyweight contender Josh Hokit finds himself after a disastrous pre-fight press conference in Newark, New Jersey, ahead of UFC's Freedom 250 event on June 14.

The event was meant to be a straightforward introduction for the fighters competing on the card. Instead, Hokit—who fights under the nickname "The Incredible Hok"—turned it into an ugly spectacle of personal attacks. While fans expected him to trade barbs with his opponent, knockout artist Derrick Lewis, Hokit instead went after several other fighters sitting on stage, including Alex Pereira, Michael Chandler, and Ilia Topuria.

Things got ugly fast. Hokit made crude remarks about Pereira's mother, Chandler's wife, and Topuria's ex-girlfriend. The comments were so inflammatory that Topuria reportedly struck Hokit with an object on stage before security intervened. UFC CEO Dana White was forced to cut the press conference short as chaos erupted.

The backlash was immediate, with fighters across the roster condemning Hokit's behavior. But the most surprising response came from Sean Strickland—who is set to challenge Khamzat Chimaev for the middleweight title at UFC 328 this Saturday. Strickland, notorious for his own controversial and unfiltered commentary, took to social media to express his disgust.

"This is wild coming from me but Josh goes way too far," Strickland wrote. "Chandler's wife, Ilia Topuria's ex… I know it's the WWE thing but it's too much."

For a fighter like Strickland—someone who has built a career on saying whatever comes to mind—to publicly call out a fellow competitor for crossing the line speaks volumes. In a sport where trash talk is part of the game, Hokit appears to have forgotten that there are still boundaries. And when Sean Strickland is the one telling you to dial it back, it's probably time to take a long, hard look in the mirror.
