UConn's roster is set to look a lot different next season, but Huskies coach Dan Hurley is hoping a new cast of characters can carry the torch of recent success.
Wofford transfer guard Nils Machowski will be one of the players Hurley looks at to lead the way. Machowski averaged over 17 points for the Terriers in his college basketball coming-out party last season.
The Berlin, Germany, native might help alleviate the loss of point guard Solo Ball, who USA TODAY Sports reports will miss the entire 2026-2027 campaign due to a wrist injury.
Machowski is shooting a touch under 37 percent from long range in his college career, which is slightly higher than Ball's college career proficiency from deep.

Machowski spent the first two years of his college career at UCF as a change-of-pace reserve.
