Two UCLA softball legends are making an undeniable case for Big Ten Player of the Year—and one analyst thinks the only fair solution is to share the crown.

Big Ten Network's Sydney Supple is leading the charge for UCLA seniors Megan Grant and Jordan Woolery to be named Co-Big Ten Players of the Year. "The best to ever do it in the Bruin uniform," Supple said Wednesday. "They came in as wide-eyed freshmen, and they're going to leave as the best duo we've ever seen in our sport."

It's hard to argue with the numbers. On April 18, Grant and Woolery became the first teammates in NCAA history to each hit 30+ home runs in a single season. They were also named USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 25 Finalists for the second straight year—a testament to their sustained dominance.

Woolery is on pace to make history of her own, chasing a season with 30+ home runs, 100+ RBIs, and a .500 batting average—something no NCAA player has ever accomplished. Meanwhile, Grant leads the nation in slugging percentage (1.350) and on-base percentage (.646) and ranks second in home runs (34). Both players earned AUSL Golden Tickets on April 19, adding to an already glittering resume.

But the competition is fierce. Nebraska's Jordy Frahm, the defending Big Ten Player of the Year, is also in the mix after becoming the first player in conference history to win both Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year in the same season. Frahm has collected three Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honors this season, while Woolery leads the conference with four Big Ten Player of the Week selections in 2026.

The Bruins close out the regular season with a crucial conference series against Oregon, which features its own stars in utility player Elon Butler and infielder Rylee McCoy. After that, UCLA heads to the Big Ten Tournament starting May 6 in College Park, Maryland—where Grant and Woolery will look to add another chapter to their legacy.
