The UCLA Bruins' 2027 recruiting class is looking special. Three of their commits were named amongst the Top-10 of the past week.

The UCLA Bruins are making serious noise on the recruiting trail, and the 2027 class is shaping up to be something special. Over the past week alone, three of UCLA's newest commitments were named to Rivals' Top-10 list of the week, signaling a major shift in the program's trajectory under new head coach Bob Chesney.

Since taking over, Chesney and his staff have completely revitalized UCLA's recruiting reputation. The Bruins currently boast the No. 4 ranked 2027 class in the nation according to 247 Sports, with ten four-star recruits already on board. The momentum shows no signs of slowing down, either—UCLA recently landed four-star wide receiver Kingston Celifie and hosted a visit from highly-touted Ohio State quarterback commit Brady Edmunds.

What's truly impressive isn't just the volume of talent coming to Westwood, but the quality. Unlike previous regimes under DeShaun Foster and Chip Kelly—which often relied on hope and potential—Chesney has proven he can attract elite prospects from across the country. In just six months, he's brought in over three dozen transfers for the 2026 squad, and the 2027 reinforcements look even stronger.

On Friday, Rivals reporter Hunter Shelton highlighted the Top-10 commitments from the past week, and UCLA dominated the list. Cornerbacks JuJu Johnson and Jerry Outhouse, along with interior offensive lineman Jackson Roper, all earned spots in the prestigious ranking. While the list wasn't ordered, having three Bruins in the mix speaks volumes about the program's rising appeal.

It's still early in Chesney's rebuild, but the buy-in from recruits, current players, and boosters has been remarkable. The real test will come on the field, but for now, UCLA looks like a winner in every offseason category that matters. For Bruins fans, the future has never felt brighter.
