The UCF Knights finished the regular season with a 38-16-1 record, losing to Kansas in the quarterfinal round of the Big 12 tournament.

The UCF Knights are heading back to the NCAA softball tournament for the sixth consecutive season, extending their program-record streak and proving that consistency is the name of the game in Orlando. With a 38-16-1 regular-season record, the Knights have earned the No. 2 seed in the Tallahassee Regional, where they'll face a tough field that includes top-seeded Florida State, Jacksonville State, and Stetson.

Double-elimination action kicks off on May 15, with UCF taking on Jacksonville State at 2:30 p.m. Friday. It's a familiar postseason stage for the Knights, who have made the tournament every year since 2019, but they'll be looking to bounce back after a disappointing exit in the Big 12 Conference tournament.

In that quarterfinal matchup against Kansas on May 7, UCF jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second inning, only to see the Jayhawks rally for a 6-5 victory at Devon Park. Despite the loss, the Knights showed plenty of firepower: Beth Damon crushed her team-leading 16th home run of the season, adding to UCF's single-season program record of 67 dingers. On the mound, ace Isabella Vega turned in a solid effort, allowing just three hits, two walks, and two earned runs over 4⅔ innings.

Last year, UCF made a memorable run in the Austin Regional, knocking off Eastern Illinois and Michigan before falling to eventual national champion Texas. The Knights have only reached the Super Regionals once—back in 2022, when they earned the No. 16 national seed and hosted a home regional in Orlando. Now, with a mix of veteran leadership and emerging talent, they're aiming to turn that one-time success into a regular postseason habit.

For fans and players alike, this trip to Tallahassee is a chance to prove that UCF softball isn't just a tournament regular—it's a program built to compete on the biggest stage. Whether you're gearing up for game day or just following the action, one thing's clear: the Knights are ready to swing for the fences.
