The Los Angeles Dodgers may be facing another injury setback, as star pitcher Tyler Glasnow exited his start against the Houston Astros on Wednesday after just one inning—leaving fans and the team anxiously awaiting news.

Glasnow's brief outing was a mixed bag of milestones and misfortune. He surrendered a leadoff home run but quickly rebounded with two strikeouts (the first being the 1,000th of his career) and a groundout to close the first inning. However, trouble surfaced during warm-ups for the second inning, when he signaled for the trainer and left the game shortly after.

This latest scare is all too familiar for the big right-hander, who has battled injuries since his MLB debut in 2017. Since joining the Dodgers ahead of the 2024 season, his health has been especially fragile. After a back injury in July 2024, he returned only to land back on the injured list a month later with elbow tendinitis—ending his season prematurely. In 2025, shoulder inflammation kept him sidelined until July, though he managed to stay healthy through the remainder of that campaign.

The Dodgers have not yet revealed the nature of Glasnow's latest issue, but his absence would be a significant blow. Despite the injury history, Glasnow has been a standout even among Los Angeles' formidable starting rotation. He leads the team with 48 strikeouts this season, boasts a stellar 2.72 ERA through his first seven starts, and remains undefeated in 2025. His 0.83 WHIP is on pace to be the lowest of his career, highlighted by a dominant eight-inning, one-hit shutout against the San Francisco Giants on April 23, where he struck out nine. He matched that strikeout total in his most recent start against the Miami Marlins on April 29.

If Glasnow misses significant time, the Dodgers don't have an immediate replacement on the active roster. However, the most likely candidate to step in is Blake Snell, who is currently on a rehab assignment in Triple-A. Snell has made three starts between Single-A Ontario and Triple-A Oklahoma City, allowing just three earned runs, and is expected to rejoin the big-league club soon.

For Dodgers fans and fantasy baseball enthusiasts alike, all eyes are on the team's next update—hoping this is just a brief hiccup for one of baseball's most electric arms.
