The brotherhood in Columbus is growing. On Wednesday, the Ohio State football program welcomed two more new faces into the fold as incoming transfers Mason Williams and John Walker officially had their black stripes removed.

This cherished Buckeye tradition signifies a player's full acceptance into the team, earned through hard work and embodying the program's standards. For these two athletes, it marks the end of their transition and the real beginning of their Ohio State careers.

Tight end Mason Williams, who transferred from Ohio University, brings proven receiving skills to a competitive position room. Last season with the Bobcats, he hauled in 26 catches for 276 yards and three touchdowns. At Ohio State, he aims to develop into the complete, versatile tight end that has become a hallmark of the Buckeyes' offense.

On the defensive side, tackle John Walker arrives from UCF where he was a disruptive force, recording 39 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble last year. He immediately bolsters a deep and talented defensive line, where he'll compete for playing time alongside other key transfers and returning veterans.
