Michigan State football's historic NFL draft streak might be long gone, but that doesn't mean the Spartans are done sending players to the league. With the NFL Draft starting on Thursday, MSU has a few players in great position to find a landing spot at the next level, and ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. agrees.
Kiper currently has two Michigan State football players projected to be drafted in his personal mock draft, both in the sixth round. Those players are:
Center Matt Gulbin: Round Six, Pick No. 189 - Cincinnati Bengals
Punter Ryan Eckley: Round Six, Pick No. 211 - Baltimore Ravens
These aren't a major surprise and were the two players expected to get drafted. MSU does have a few other players on the bubble who could find a spot in the last round as well. Interestingly, although Kiper has Gulbin projected to be taken higher, Eckley is the only Spartan on his Top-150 Big Board.
