Former Denver Broncos safety Justin Simmons announced his retirement from the NFL on Wednesday.
Simmons, 32, made the announcement exactly 10 years after the Broncos selected him in the third round of the 2016 NFL draft out of Boston College. The four-time second-team All-Pro and two-time Pro Bowler ends his career ranked seventh on the team's all-time interceptions list with 30 takeaways.

After grabbing two interceptions in Atlanta, Simmons now hangs up his cleats with 32 career interceptions. He also totaled 666 tackles, 71 pass breakups, five forced fumbles, 4.5 sacks and one pick-six in 134 career games.
Simmons was a team captain and a key leader on and off the field in Denver. The three-time Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award nominee now hangs up his cleats as one of the Broncos' all-time greats.
