YORK, Maine - Sophomore Emery Dodge had five goals and four assists as the York High School girls lacrosse team beat Biddeford, 11-3 on Thursday in a Class B contest.

Sophomore Ella Neiverth added four goals and two assists for the Wildcats, and Evie Martin had two goals. York goalie Piper Schambach had three saves.

SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Senior Maddy Poitras had nine goals and one assist for Marshwood in its Class A season-opener.

Ella Yakota, Lilyan Upton and Marlo Elwell all had two goals for the Hawks, while Tiegan Boisvert, Estella Fogg, Brooklyn Smith and Jordan Galuppo all had one. Teammates Hope Walker and Boisvert both had one assist. Marshwood goalie Leigh Twohig had five saves.

Willow Holland, Ashley Merchant and Reagan Dodge all had two goals for Noble (0-2).

KITTERY, Maine - Sam Latchaw, Jdeidelys Rivera, Lucy Gingras, and Maddy Rohan each scored a goal for Traip in this Class C contest. Traip goalie Maddy Guay had five saves.

BRIDGTON, Maine - Ebbin Perkins had five goals and two assists for Berwick (5-3) in this loss. Cole Cournoyer added three goals and one assist for the Bulldogs, while Reed Kenney had three goals and Liam Quinn one.

FARMINGTON - Paige Sweitzer had three hits, including a home run, and five RBIs as Newmarket improved to 2-1 with this Division IV win.

Brielle Duffy also homered, had three hits, two RBIs, and scored three runs.

Emma Surina (two RBIs), Maggie Ellis, Hannah Chesley, Mariza Zygouri, Anika Benson, Chloe Winkler (first varsity hit) and Julianna Cote all had a hit, and Annaleigha Dotson had two RBIs. 

Emma Surina pitched three shutout innings, allowing two hits and striking out four, and Anika Benson pitched the final three innings, allowing one run on two hits and four strikeouts.

PORTSMOUTH - Jiles Tracz (No. 1, 8-1), Amitay Hay Tene (No. 2, 8-5), Brandon Ganev (No. 5, 8-0) and Jackson French (No. 6, 8-5) all won in singles for Portsmouth in its Division II match.

In doubles, Tracz and Amitay Hey Tene won 8-3 at No. 1, Hillel Hay Tene and Ganev won 9-8 at No. 2, and Julian Brousseau and Gerardo Navarro-Manchego won 8-1 at No. 3.

MANCHESTER - Spaulding's Griffin Baughman lost 9-8 at No. 1 singles in this Division I match.

HAMPTON - Camryn Andrews (No. 1, 8-1), Hazel Brinser (No. 2, 8-4), Alexa Wilcox (No. 3, 8-3), Eliza Dwiputra-Sumolang  (No. 4, 8-2), Grace Bramhall (No. 5, 8-6) and Camryn Morrissey (No. 6, 8-0) all won in singles for Winnacunnet in its Division II match.

In doubles, Andrews and Wilcox won 8-5 at No. 1, Brinser and Bramhall won 8-2 at No. 2, and Dwiputra-Sumolang and Morrissey won 8-3 at No. 3.

PETERBOROUGH - Jessica Li won 8-3 at No. 2 singles, and Reed Reed and Sienna Pelaggi won 8-5 at No. 2 doubles for Oyster River in its Division II match.

EXETER - The Exeter girls won 11 events, scored 137 points and captured a four-team meet, beating Dover (53), Windham (46), and Newmarket (5).
