On the diamond, Nolan Horvath of Battle Creek was nearly untouchable, firing a complete-game shutout with 11 strikeouts in an 8-0 win over Creek Wood. Wyatt Davis of Beech drove in four runs with a triple to power a 14-4 victory against Hendersonville, while Cruz Jones of Grace Christian showcased his power with a home run, two RBIs, and a stolen base in a 13-5 win over Columbia Academy.
Gavin Miller of Hendersonville also went deep, homering and driving in two runs in a 9-6 win over Green Hill. Nash Stark of Lipscomb Academy contributed a home run, double, and two RBIs in a 5-1 victory against Chattanooga Christian. Cooper Epley of Westmoreland had a monster game, going 3-for-4 with a triple, double, and three RBIs in a 22-3 rout of Stratford. Luke Vance of Watertown added a double and three RBIs in a 10-0 win over Cumberland County.
On the soccer pitch, Simon Brown of Hume-Fogg scored twice in a dominant 7-0 win over Maplewood. Ahmad Alammori of Martin Luther King Jr. notched a goal and an assist in a narrow 3-2 loss to Hume-Fogg. Landon Lifferth of Stewarts Creek was the star of the show, recording a hat trick and an assist in a thrilling 5-4 win over Smyrna.
