"I think his frustration lies deeply within the organization," said McGrady.

The Boston Celtics have long been considered one of the NBA's model franchises, but recent whispers suggest that all might not be well in Beantown. According to NBA legend Tracy McGrady, his close friend and mentee, Jaylen Brown, may be harboring some serious frustrations with the organization.

In a revealing episode of his "Cousins" podcast, McGrady didn't hold back when discussing Brown's current state of mind. "I think his frustration lies deeply within the organization and other things that," McGrady shared with his cohost and cousin, Vince Carter. The response from Carter was telling: "Of course, of course, I knew that."

The Hall of Famer continued to peel back the layers on what's been brewing behind the scenes. "It's just been a lot of stuff that I've been hearing going on with the Boston organization with JB," McGrady explained, hinting at underlying tensions that fans rarely get to see.

Perhaps most intriguing was McGrady's insight into Brown's perspective after stepping up during Jayson Tatum's absence. "I think part of him is like 'I showed you guys more of who I am as a basketball player, not only what I did on the basketball court, but the leadership that I displayed within this team and you've seen that, not having our best player in (Jayson Tatum).'"

The former scoring champion painted a picture of a player who feels he's proven more than his current role reflects. "You've seen the different side of me and what I'm able to bring to the game of basketball. So, all that stuff I think came into play with him and his frustration."

McGrady didn't shy away from the elephant in the room either—the historic 3-1 playoff collapse that still haunts Celtics fans. "The 3-1 loss, it was devastating because this never happened in Boston's history with any other greats," he noted, suggesting that the weight of that unprecedented failure may be adding to Brown's discontent.

As the Celtics look to regroup and make another championship push, these comments from such a respected voice in the basketball world certainly raise eyebrows. For now, all eyes will be on Boston's front office to see how they address what could be a growing rift with one of their cornerstone players.
